THE new kits that Kelty Hearts stars will hope to shine in during the upcoming season were revealed on a busy day in the village on Saturday.

Ahead of their upcoming Premier Sports Cup campaign, and a third successive season in League One, the 'Maroon Machine' unveiled their snazzy new strips at New Central Park during the gala day celebrations.

Their home kit, featuring club's classic colour, and away strip, a predominantly white top with thin diagonal stripes, and maroon on the shoulders and sleeves, has been produced by Adidas.

The German sportswear firm's iconic three stripes were last on Kelty shirts during their first season in the Lowland League, in 2019/20, after the club were promoted from the East of Scotland League, which they joined in 2018 after leaving junior football.

Since then, their kit has been produced by Spanish manufacturer Joma, but they will now sport Adidas kits once more for the upcoming campaign.

It comes after the club had previously announced a partnership with Hillington-based Pitch Teamwear to supply kits, a range of merchandise, and to operate their club shop website, which Kelty say is coming soon.

The strips are available to buy from the club shop at New Central Park, which plays host to two more pre-season friendlies over the next week.

On Saturday, Hamilton Academical, who reached the Championship through the play-offs, are the visitors for a 3pm start, whilst Heart of Midlothian 'B' arrive on Tuesday July 9 for a 7pm kick-off.

Player / manager Michael Tidser and his team begin their Premier Sports Cup campaign at Elgin City on Tuesday July 16, before hosting Hibernian and Peterhead, and finishing at Queen's Park, in Group C.
