PROMISING Athletic starlet Jake Sutherland has moved to near neighbours Cowdenbeath on loan for the upcoming campaign.

The 17-year-old has joined his hometown team on a temporary basis and will bid to play his part in helping the Blue Brazil enjoy a successful Lowland League season.

Jake, whose elder brother, Taylor, is also a Pars player, attended Foulford Primary and Beath High schools, and began his footballing journey with the Blue Brazil Boys Club.

He then went on to join the Fife Elite Football Academy, which transitioned into the Dunfermline Athletic Academy, and signed a two-year apprenticeship with the club last summer.

Dunfermline Press:

In December, Jake made his first team debut for the Pars in a 2-2 draw at Ayr United, before he and Taylor scored the goals that gave them a 2-1 win over Livingston in April's SPFL Reserve Cup final.
