SCOTLAND'S women have qualified to compete at next year's EuroHockey Championships in Germany and a former Dunfermline Carnegie star helped them there.
Eve Pearson, who went to Commercial Primary School and played for the club as a youth, was part of an 18-strong squad for the qualification tournament.
Held at the Glasgow National Hockey Centre, the 'Tartan Hearts', alongside Wales, Czechia, Austria, Croatia and Lithuania, were bidding to earn a place at next summer's prestigious tournament.
The winner of the knockout competition would progress and, as the highest ranked team, the Scots had a bye to the semi-final, where they met Austria on Saturday.
Captain Sarah Robertson's goal proved decisive, sending them into a final with Wales, who defeated Czechia 4-0, the following day.
Scotland fell behind at the start of the second quarter, but Sarah Jamieson levelled, before Heather McEwan found the winning goal to send them through.
Eve, who currently plays with Grossflottbeker THGCC in Germany, and her Scotland team-mates will now also move into the EuroHockey Championships top division next year.
