WRESTLING fans are in for a treat this weekend as a popular family-friendly event returns to Dunfermline.

The World Wide Wrestling League (W3L) are bringing some of the very best competitors in the professional circuit to the Carnegie Leisure Centre on Sunday.

Popular with kids and families, W3L have been bringing wrestlers from around the globe to towns across UK since 2003, when they began their events in Fife.

A star-studded line-up will include fan favourite Krieger, who won the W3L World Championship in Glenrothes, as he makes his first championship defence against Florida's August Artois.

The next contenders for the W3L Championships will also be crowned, with a series of matches set to take place with future title opportunities on the line, with those scheduled to appear including Fife's own 'Tier Zero' Taylor Bryden, TJ Rage, Saqib Ali and Hugo Haris, whilst Brodie Adler faces Rubi Roberts in a women's contest.

The W3L is a touring group that presents American style wresting events across the UK, hosting some of the biggest names in the sport from at home and abroad, including former WWE stars and top names from television and major streaming platforms, including the WWE Network.

Matches will be taped for Wrestling Showdown, the longest-running weekly wrestling show on YouTube, which drops every Sunday at noon.

Doors open at 1pm, with the first bell at 1.30pm, and ringside, front row tickets are priced at £19, with general admission set at £13.

A family of four can watch the action for £46, and they can be bought from Carnegie Leisure Centre, or at www.W3Lwrestling.com.
