FEMALE cyclists can get together and enjoy a fun and social ride with Dunfermline Cycling Club on Saturday.
They are hosting a 'Fife Women's Social Bike Ride', departing from the Glen Gates, which aims to bring together riders of all levels.
Organisers hope that it will encourage more women to become part of the club, including those who may feel daunted by the idea of club riding, with seasoned cyclists, those dusting off their bike after a break, or new riders all welcome.
Providing the opportunity to meet new people, enjoy a day out or rediscover a passion for cycling, two route options will be available to choose from on the day.
The first takes place over 30 miles, starting on a scenic cycle path before returning via a road, pedalling at 10-12 miles per hour, with the second taking place over 45 miles, on open road, at speeds of 12-14mph or higher.
Riding with like-minded women, however, those taking part will be split into small groups for safety and speeds to suit, and no-one will be left behind.
There will be a stop at a cafe en-route and, following the ride, cakes and refreshments will be on offer at Pittencrieff Park.
The event begins at 9.15am, for a 9.30am departure, from the Glen Gates and, to secure your place and for more information, find Dunfermline Cycling Club on Facebook.
