DUNFERMLINE Athletic Women made it two league wins from two after notching six of the best on Sunday.

Charles Dignan's side made the trip to Cumbernauld United, on the back of a 3-2 win over Cumbernauld Colts, in the SWFL (Scottish Women's Football League) Central League, and record a 6-1 success.

Helen Templeton gave the Pars the lead before Carolanne Phee doubled their advantage, and Nic Greig added a third.

That was the scoreline at the half-time interval, after which Taylor Shields added a fourth goal, before the hosts pulled one back.

Dunfermline, however, were not yet finished, and Lauren Wheatley, from the bench, made it 5-1, before fellow substitute, Ellis Yeaman, completed a fine day with their sixth goal.

The result means that Athletic, along with Alloa Athletic, have a 100 per cent record from their opening two matches, with the Wasps sitting in top spot on goal difference.

Elsewhere in the division, Bayside Women, who were 15-0 winners over Carron Huskies, which had put them top, in their first match, were defeated at Cumbernauld Colts.

Although player / head coach, Kerry Walker, found the net, they fell to a 4-1 defeat, leaving them fourth in the early standings.
