THE date and kick-off time for Athletic's SPFL Trust Trophy quarter-final tie next month has been confirmed.

James McPake's team will host League One Alloa Athletic in the last eight at KDM Group East End Park, having defeated Kelty Hearts in the fourth round on Saturday.

Chris Kane and Matty Todd got the goals, after Craig Johnston's opener for their near neighbours, to win Dunfermline the Fife derby and set up the tie with the Wasps.

It has now been announced that the game will be played on Tuesday November 12 at 7.45pm, with two of the other three quarter-finals also taking place on the same date.

Dunfermline Press:

Livingston v Greenock Morton - the winners of which will travel to face whoever prevails between the Pars and the Wasps - kicks off at the same time, whilst East Kilbride and Ayr United begin their last-eight match five minutes earlier, due to it being selected for live TV broadcast by BBC Alba.

The winner of that match will then play the winner of Queen's Park v Rangers 'B' or Stenhousemuir in the last four, with the Rangers 'B' v Stenhousemuir fourth round tie taking place on Tuesday.

Once the winner of that match is determined, date for their quarter-final with Queen's Park will then be confirmed.

Reflecting on the draw for both the quarter-finals and semi-finals, McPake commented: "You want to be at home; you don't mind who you're playing against.

"We want to play here as much as we can. It's strange - I don't know, maybe it's the first time, I can never really remember, Scottish Cup or League Cup, even as a player, when you know they draw a couple (of games) in advance - so it's new for me.

"But there's still the quarter-final to take care of when that comes around, and that'll be a tough game as well, but our focus shifts straight back to league business."

If the quarter-final is level at the end of 90 minutes, penalty kicks will decide the winner, with extra-time coming into play for both the semi-final and the final.

The semi-final ties are due to be played during the midweek of January 28-29, with the final to be played on either the weekend of March 22-23 or 29-30.
