A SEASON of events at Scotland's national motorsport centre ended in spectacular style on Saturday to the delight of a sell-out crowd.

Knockhill Racing Circuit brought the curtain down on 2024 with a bang when they welcomed thousands of spectators for their annual live action family fireworks spectacular.

The skies above West Fife were lit up in dramatic fashion in a memorable display, which was co-ordinated by the Edinburgh 21CC Fireworks Company, during an action-packed day of events.

Beginning in the afternoon, those in attendance were treated to a large array of activities on and off the track for all ages.

World famous stunt driver, Paul Swift, who has been involved with the likes of Top Gear and the Fast and Furious movies, returned having previously visited the venue for its 'SuperTruck Scotland' event in August, whilst a smaller-scale truck show also paraded on track.

The fireworks and bonfire then followed, as well as a laser show, and it went down a treat with those who were there to see it.

Stuart Gray, director of events at Knockhill, said: "It was a fantastic, sold-out event with amazing post-event feedback and comments online, by email and phone.

"We event had one family travel from Birmingham - they had come for the BTCC (British Touring Car Championship) and loved the venue - and they got home at 4am!

"All around, it was fantastic for us and the visitors, and will be even more special next year on November 1."

Knockhill, which throughout 2024 has been celebrating 50 years since it first opened, has its two flagship events booked into its calendar for next year.

The BTCC will return to West Fife over the weekend of August 16-17 2025, whilst the Bennetts British Superbike Championship will visit from July 4-6.
