A West Fife Taekwondo star has rounded off a successful year by bagging medals at an overseas competition.
Lily Finch, who trains with Dunfermline UKTC, recently travelled to Athlone to compete at the RITA Irish Open event.
The talented youngster, representing UKTC Scotland, took part in three events - patterns, sparring and special technique - and came home with one gold and one silver medal.
Competing in the 0-10 years age group, Lily faced a large field and fierce competition for places on the podium, but took patterns gold after a strong final against England's Charlie Smith, before collecting a silver in the sparring, with Ireland's Sarah Garrigan taking top spot.
Lily's latest success comes after she recently competed for ITF (International Taekwondo Federation) Scotland at the ITFU (International Taekwondo Federation Union) European Open Championships, where she was third in the girls' under-12 red belt division in both patterns in sparring.
In total, she has claimed 31 medals throughout the year, including at the ITF World Championships, as well top three placings in eight international events.
Lily's attention now turns to the 2025 season, which kicks off in January with the UKTC champions league event.
