CAROLINE WEIR marked her 100th senior Scotland cap by captaining the side, and scoring, in a friendly against Finland tonight.
The 28-year-old, who has recently been rewarded for a sparkling first season at Real Madrid with a contract extension and a player of the year accolade, opened the scoring in Tampere as the Scots earned a 2-1 victory.
The Dunfermline born-star, a former pupil at Pittencrieff Primary and Dunfermline High Schools, scored her 17th goal for her country in the 13th minute when she collected Emma Watson's pass on the left-edge of the six-yard box, before controlling and finishing beyond the goalkeeper.
Watson soon made it 2-0 and, although the hosts pulled one back, Caroline's landmark appearance ended in victory.

Caroline made her senior international debut 10 years ago, in a 3-2 win over Iceland.
Since then, she has gone on to become a crucial part of the Scotland side, helping them to their first-ever major tournament in 2017, when they qualified for the European Championships, and the World Cup two years later.
Caroline, whose football journey began with Elgin Star in the Fife Soccer 7s, holds the distinction of scoring the goal that gave Scotland their first-ever tournament victory, a 1-0 success over Spain at the Euros.
So far, she has scored 16 goals for the country in total, and wore the armband on Friday night for a 3-0 win over Northern Ireland at Dundee's Dens Park, the first of two friendlies being played, after they failed to reach this year's World Cup, which begins on Thursday, following a play-off defeat by the Republic of Ireland last October.
Ahead of the Northern Ireland match, Weir said: "It is a massive moment and one that I am very proud of.
"It is not something that I ever expected. I always thought to be capped just once would be an honour so to be on the cusp of 100 is incredible. I can’t believe it."
Her landmark moment in dark blue comes after a super first season in the Spanish capital, where she moved to last summer after four years with Manchester City.
Caroline helped Real qualify for the Champions League group stages - scoring the goal to knock City out along the way - and finish second in the league behind Barcelona.
She also scored in the semi-final of the 'Supercopa de España Femenina', against Barca, which Real lost in extra-time, and helped them reach the Copa de la Reina final, which they lost to city rivals Atlético, on penalties, after a 2-2 draw.
Her impressive debut season saw her receive the Cinco Estrellas Mahou Player of the Year award for the club, after scoring 28 goals in all competitions, and sign a new contract that will keep her at Real until 2026.
Speaking to her club’s website about her award, she said: “It is obviously a massive honour.
“I’d like to say thanks to the fans. They’ve supported me from day one, when I arrived here in Madrid last year.
"It means a lot to me personally. I think though the season has shown that it's been a real team effort. We've got a squad full of talent, so it could've gone to anyone this season, but, obviously, it's really nice to receive this award.
"Individually, I've really enjoyed it. I think I've improved as a player but, I think as a team, we've shown great progress, pushing the boundaries and trying to improve.
"I think you've seen that this year, and it's year on year, trying to progress, trying to improve, and that's what we're working towards, every training session, every match."
